Coming up with something new and valuable demands of us to make a number of assumptions about what might and might not be true. Thinking through these assumptions is important, as it allows us to become more aware of the potential risks and what must we learn more about. At the same time, it is most critical these assumptions are tested, again and again, in the world. First hand experience is a very potent sobering device.
