THE INNOVATOR'S ATTITUDE

A monthly newsletter with the objective of helping leaders innovate profitably by providing them with best practices, models, and different perspectives.

On Innovation Outcomes Part III

"The proof is in the pudding."

Achieving good business results does not guarantee positive innovation outcomes. In March I wrote about assessing innovation outcomes from multiple perspectives, namely business outcomes, learning outcomes, and investment stopping reasons. Last month I described nine specific innovation outcomes when business results are negative. Today I will describe the opposite, i.e. innovation outcomes when business results are positive. To do so, we will consider the learning outcomes—which can be undocumented, documented, and documented and disseminated—and stopping reasons—which can be internal, external, and due to maturity.
