THE INNOVATOR'S ATTITUDE

A monthly newsletter with the objective of helping leaders innovate profitably by providing them with best practices, models, and different perspectives.

On Innovation Outcomes Part II

It is quite possible to have a positive corporate innovation outcome even if the project or venture itself was at a loss.

Continuing from last month, today I will write about nine different innovation outcomes when business results are negative. I will consider two different dimensions, namely the learning outcomes and what was the stopping reason. Learning outcomes can be (i) undocumented, (ii) documented, and (iii) documented and disseminated. Stopping reasons can be (i) internal, (ii) external, and (iii) due to maturity.
