On learning from success

Plenty has been written on importance of learning from failures and mistakes. While that can certainly be useful, we must also remember to learn from our successes—especially if they were unexpected!

When results exceed our expectations, and our actions work better than expected, then that too is a signal to pause and reflect. Why did it go so well? What can be learned from that? What can we do to increase the odds of similar performance in the future?

Lean experiments and regular reflections are two simple learning practices that can be implemented right now. Disciplined learning is the path towards sustained competitiveness.

Why leave it up to chance?
