Blog review 2024

It's this time of the year again. When I sit down in silence and count everything I've published throughout the year, and then look a bit at analytics. I'm always surprised when the time comes; not so much that year ended but as much how quickly it ended. If that is not a reminder to be careful with what little time we have, I do not know what is.

Existential ruminations aside, in 2024 I have published 195 blog posts. I find that particularly interesting because that makes this the most productive blogging year I've had since I begun tracking numbers in 2020. At the same time, I felt like I haven't written that much more... Which is exactly why annual review is helpful to put things into perspective.

Let's dig into numbers.

Top three topics remain innovation (511 articles), strategy (340 articles), and leadership (239 articles). Besides blogging, this year also published a good deal of video content:

  • 42 episodes of The Puzzle Podcast with Isaak Tsalicoglou. In each episode we address a difficult business question for ten minutes. Of course, we do so while speaking from personal, first-hand experience, and with emphasis on the practical and applicable matters.
  • 25 episodes of Wednesday Innovation Q&A with Bruno. In each episode I address a specific question from practice. Although each question comes from a specific individual, I always strive to provide an answer with broad applicability.

Further, my articles have been published in various outlets: Viable Innovation Teams (The Innovator's Handbook 2024), Managing innovation at scale (HR World Magazine), The value factory: Five ways to supercharge your innovation process using lean practices (theleanmag), and Using Games and Simulations to Facilitate Generative Conflict (Challenging the Future with Lean, Springer).

Below are top five posts based on number of page views, featuring some familiar titles, followed by five personal favourites from this year.

Don’t use it as a wallpaper, and accept that almost everything you put into the canvas has some degree of uncertainty.
