Brutalise ideas, cherish people

As innovators, we want to stress test an idea in every possible way. When we run experiment, we try to find ways to break and invalidate the assumptions behind the idea. That is an essential part of developing any innovative idea.

But throughout this process we must be kind and helpful with everyone involved. Just because we found flaws in the idea does not mean the person who proposed is flawed too. Opposite is true to—just because someone proposed a superior idea does not mean the person is superior too.

Thus, always remember to go hard on ideas but remain gentle and respectful with each other.
