What is the decision?

The first step to making a better decision is understanding what decision needs to be made in the first place.

If we don't know that, then we cannot figure out what kind of insight you are seeking, nor what kind of questions to ask. And without that we don't know where to look. In other words, we are stumbling around, hoping for the best.

When stuck, a fine starting point is to begin with an end in mind—what are the results or outcomes we are trying to achieve? Then work our way backwards to figure out what are the relevant decisions.
