On Learning the Hard Way

I’ve always enjoyed train rides. There is something meditative in sitting by the window and rolling on the rails, gazing at the passing vistas. It isn’t quite the same as being on the bus. When I toured Australia I travelled with train whenever I could. If you ever visit Norway, and have time, I heartily recommend Oslo–Bergen and Oslo–Trondheim lines. Both are around ten hours, and will take you through wonderful nature.
