The effective innovator

Effective innovators always ask:

  1. What is the opportunity?
  2. What is right for the organisation?
  3. What must be true for this idea to work as envisioned?
  4. What are we most uncertain about regarding this idea and how can we learn more?
  5. What needs to be done next?

First three questions are critical for uncovering insight required to develop the idea and aligning the organisation, while the last two questions are all about taking appropriate action.
