On innovation and progress
A conversation with Favour Etu of Growth Room podcast.
Favour Etu of Growth Room podcast asked what I would focus on, innovation-wise, if I had only five minutes. We spent a bit more time than that. Along the way we talked about:
- Why everyone is creative, including anyone who cooks with leftovers.
- Why good ideas need proximity. Want to help farmers? Stand in the field.
- Why corporate innovation takes five to seven years, and the tenacity that demands.
- What martial arts teaches about constructive conflict, and sparring with colleagues.
- Why fear of asking questions is understandable, and arrogance never is.
