Mutual understanding

Uncertainty and ambiguity are expected when innovating. After all, we are trying to create value without having the complete picture. That by itself provides enough risk. Why then make it even more difficult by failing to understand each other? Everyone involved with the innovative project or venture should have a shared understanding of desired outcomes, expectations, acceptable pathways, and strategic alignment. The same applies to all relevant decision makers. Sure, alignment takes time and effort. But it takes less time and effort than fixing going off the rails for years.
