The incredible potential of boring

Innovation is often talked about in terms of new, exciting, novel, disruptive, unprecedented, radical, edgy... But the reality is that there is massive potential for innovation by looking at the boring, everyday issues and processes. There is a great deal of opportunity for incremental and adjacent innovations in such "boring" domains. And these are great both for bottom line and developing innovation capabilities much needed for riskier, and more daring innovations some time in the future.
