On avoiding destructive innovation

I've recently spoken with Doug Utberg of Terminal Value podcast:

Doug and Bruno spoke about focusing on value-creating innovation rather than destructive innovation. Having innovation really helps the growth of the company. However, you need to be watchful with these and also remind yourself to give more value to your clients.

Has anyone told you that you can't innovate? Don't listen to them. Don't let others stop you from being creative; it will help the growth of your company as well as your personal development.
