This week I've had yet another conversation with a manager agonising over discarding ideas.

They were completely overwhelmed with options, and yet were simultaneously reluctant to throw away any and all ideas that didn't hold up to basic scrutiny.

"If it's good, it'll come back." I heard myself saying over, and over again.

This made me think—how many times have I written about the importance of discarding ideas early, often, and ruthlessly?
