Validation through crowd-funding

Playing Lean, an award-winning board game for teaching innovation and entrepreneurship, went through numerous iterations before we landed on a business model that works. Our biggest learning came from our first crowd-funding campaign—which failed miserably.

We learned that we've been promoting to the wrong customer segment—players, i.e. those that wish to learn—while our true customer segment were in fact facilitators, i.e. those that want to teach.

Once we made a pivot towards also addressing the needs of facilitators everything started to fall into place. Today we are proud to say that Playing Lean has been played by thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators worldwide, and has a thriving network of more than 200 facilitators.

After 2 years of restrictions and social distancing, we're excited to announce our first post-pandemic in-person Playing Lean Facilitator Training, which will take place on November 26th, 2022 in London, United Kingdom.
