[**The Problem with Stage Gates Isn’t the Gates**](https://weareoutcome.co/blog/the-problem-with-stage-gates-isnt-the-gates/?ref=pesec.no) **by Dan Toma.** Stage-gate model is all-pervasive. There is a variant of it in every large enterprise on the planet. And while stage-gate model can work for innovation, it has to be slightly tweaked first. Dan shares two problems, and two solutions. 4. [**The Cost of Being Late: What Businesses Can Learn from Successful F1 Teams**](https://hubbardresearch.com/the-cost-of-being-late-what-businesses-can-learn-from-successful-f1-teams/?ref=pesec.no) **by Peter Mallik.** Peter Malik of the Hubbard Decision Research uses a F1 racing team to convey a five step process for making better decisions: define the decision, model uncertainty, determine value of additional information, measure if you have enough information, and optimise decision.
