You don't need the right tools to get the job done, but they sure make it a lot easier.

That shouldn't be an excuse to waste months on laborious analyses on selecting the best tools for the job you are doing for the first time.

Start with what you have; learn the process; invest in the bare minimum to move forward.

If this turns out to be something you'll be doing repeatedly, consider investing in the best tool you can afford.

Above does not absolve you of the minimal due diligence:

- Who made this tool and why?
- What are their credentials?
- Is this tool successfully used to get your job done?

Just because a nail can be hammered with a table, doesn't mean you should do so.
